Zip file errors: "Path too long"- this typically indicates that you are trying to extract in a protected folder on a Windows computer. Try to extract onto a user profile folder such as your Desktop or Downloads.

IF you are on a Windows and see a folder titled "_MACOSX" - delete or ignore it. Do not try to access the files from it. I work on a Mac and sometimes these files show up on Windows downloads.

Before contacting me, please try one of these free websites to extract your zip files as they often work seamlessly:

For PDF viewing errors (file not found, etc.), please be sure you have the latest software of your PDF viewer installed. The most popular PDF viewer is Adobe Reader (free). Please download it and try to open the PDF again.

Often times, believe it or not, the PDF troubles arise when you are using a school computer. If you are at school, I would recommend trying again on a home computer with secure wifi before contacting us. Here are some things you can do to try to remedy the situation if you have tried on your personal (not school/professional) computer without success:

  • Renaming the file: right click on the file name and then rename it (or select "rename" from the right click menu). Rename it something that is in all lowercase with NO spaces, NO special characters or numbers. Then double click on the file to try to open it.
  • Try a different program. If you have already updated your PDF viewer (Adobe, etc.) to the most recent version and it's still giving you some trouble, you may want to try a different PDF viewer such as smallpdf.com (which I have personally tried and approve of, just be aware that they limit their free services to two consecutive tasks).
  • Open it in your internet browser, such as Chrome.
